Tyler Hocz

Tyler Hocz is a certified Prosthetist & Orthotist with over 12 years of experience. He graduated from the University of South Florida as an undergrad with the initial hopes of becoming a physical therapist but Tyler found working with his hands in the burn unit of a local hospital more rewarding. The local occupational therapist encouraged him to pursue a new dynamic career path “and ever since then it felt like I made the right decision”.

Tyler understands that patients are usually scared at the beginning of their amputee journey but helping them go through the fitting process and witnessing them accomplish their mobility goals is really encouraging for a clinician.

Prior to joining the SKY Family, Tyler was traveling nationwide as a clinical specialist for Ossur, a global manufacturer of prosthetic components, training other prosthetists. At Ossur, he witnessed firsthand many new methods and technologies within the world of prosthetics like Design Studio and Direct Socket.
